Good – Gently used. Some surface scratches. No dents or gouges. All moving parts work properly. No stains, rips, cuts, tears or odors.

Fair – Shows signs of use. Visible surface scratches. Some dents. No gouges. May require some touch-up. All moving parts work properly. No stains, rips, cuts, tears or odors.

Terms

DFC offers 120 day consignment with 50/50 terms on each consignment. Most consigned furniture sells within the first month. Many pieces even sell within the first few days of being on display in our beautiful showroom. Upon the sale of your items, we will mail you a check (less any fees) bi-weekly.

What we'll accept

Consigned items must be of good quality, gently used, great condition, odor free, clean, stain free, and free of animal hair. Free from any rips, tears and no broken frames. No water stains, deep gouges or major scratches on the primary finish, no broken or missing hardware. Doors and drawers must operate properly. Mechanical movements must operate properly.

We welcome furniture, home décor, area rugs, pool tables, game tables, exercise equipment and more from private homes (gently used), home builders – model homes, and Estate Sales. Antiques and other mid-century furnishings are welcome.

We will not accept the following items: cribs, lamps without shades, waterbeds, anything in need of repair or refining.

DFC's professional staff will set the initial price with your approval. We price right when it counts... the first time.

Markdown Schedule:

  • After 30 days, 15% Off initial selling price
  • After 60 days, 40% Off initial selling price
  • After 90 days, 50% Off initial selling price

Need us to pick up?

DFC offers pick up services for a nominal fee. We have professional, dependable, and considerate drivers. They will arrive at your home based on specific available dates within our pick-up area, in a fully equipped furniture truck. Our drivers use pads, dollies and shrink wrap in some cases to transport your items safely to our showroom.

Pool tables must be dropped off by a professional pool table mover as we are not equipped to pick up and transfer something of that magnitude.

Pick up rates are $100 for one piece, one room or more within our normal pick-up area.

For pick ups outside of our normal area, additional charges apply. We'll place you on a wait list until we're able to fill the schedule for your area. You'll be notified by phone of the date we're able to provide the service.

No need to pay until your merchandise is sold. Your pick up fee is deducted from your commission check.

You may choose to bring your merchandise to us by appointment only. If you have any furniture you would like to consign, please fill out our form or call (855) 875-7292 to set up an appointment.

What if my items don't sell?

If your items don't sell within the 120 day contract, you'll be notified by letter and/or email to pick-up your merchandise within 7 days. Items that are not picked up will be sold at no commission or donated to charity.

Consignment Terms & Conditions

This contract is legal, binding agreement between the consignor hereafter referred as the "seller" and the consignee hereafter referred to as Delmarva Furniture Consignment, LLC.

Delmarva Furniture Consignment reserves the right to determine acceptability of merchandise and to set initial selling price with your approval.

Commission: Seller will receive 50% of the final selling price.

Selling Period: Seller agrees to consign all items for 120 days.

  • After 30 days, seller agrees the price will be reduced by 15% from the initial selling price.
  • After 60 days, seller agrees the price will be reduced by 40% from the initial selling price.
  • After 90 days, seller agrees the price will be reduced by 50% from the initial selling price.

Price reduction / markdown schedule doesn't start until merchandise is on the sales floor. If the store is full with a certain category, merchandise may be stored in the warehouse until there is room on the sales floor. Percent off dates will change accordingly.

If the sellers merchandise hasn't sold by the end of the contract agreement, they will receive a phone call instructing them to pick-up their merchandise within 7 days (pick-up available only during store operating hours). Seller must provide proof of identification when picking up merchandise. If the merchandise is not picked up, it will be sold at a lower price with no seller commission or donated to charity.

Other fees: Additional service fees may apply to items that require excessive cleaning or repair work. These fees will be discussed with the seller prior to accepting the item on consignment.

Payments: Seller accounts are settled bi-weekly. The check total will reflect less pick-up fee and any other service fees (if they apply).

Seller agrees not to enter into a sales transaction within any individual, company, or corporation prior to the expiration of the agreed consignment/selling period.

W-9 / Request: Since we cannot predict the end sales amount result, signed W-9 forms are required for Seller transactions at the time you sign the Consignment Contract. Commission checks will not be mailed to Seller(s) that do not have a signed W-9 on file with Delmarva Furniture Consignment, LLC.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: NEITHER PARTY TO THIS CONSIGNMENT ARRANGEMENT SHALL BE LAIBLE TO THE OTHER PARTY OR TO ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DAMAGES TO OR CAUSED BY THE CONSIGNED GOODS OR FOR ANY EXPENSES, LOST REVENUES, LOST SAVINGS, LOST PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH ANY BUSINESS RELATING TO OR ARISING OUT OF THIS CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT (ABSENT MALICIOUS INTENT OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE). THE LIMITATIONS HEREIN SHALL APPLY NOTWITHSTANDING ANY FAILURE OF ESSTENTIAL PURPOSE OF ANY LIMITED REMEDY PROVIDED UNDER ANY TERM OF THIS CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT.

By submitting this form, you certify that you have read, understand, and agree to all terms and conditions as set forth on this contract. You declare you are the legal owner of all items listed and they are free from any liens. Violations or false statements will either void the contract, or result in legal action. You must be at least 16 years of age to submit personal information via our website.
